About

January 25th, 2009

I was born in Houston, TX, but only lived there a couple of years.  One of my six sisters was also born in Houston.  My dad was working his way up as a chemical engineer and we  moved a few times during my childhood.  From Houston, we moved to Bel Air, MD (outside Baltimore) where two more sisters were born.  We lived there for two more years before moving to Highland, IN (outside Chicago) where another sister was born.  One of my more interesting memories of Indiana was that we had to live in a hotel for a while because our  house was not vacant yet.  Again, we stayed for a short time before moving to Woodbridge, NJ.  There my parents added two more sisters and a brother, bringing the total to eight  children.  In New Jersey, all of us that were school age attend St. Cecelia’s School.  My mom graduated from nursing school during this time.  We stayed there for six years before moving to El Paso, TX.  We could not get a family rate for a Catholic school so my parents placed us in public school for the first time since I was in kindergarten.

I went to Eastwood High School and attended El Paso Community College.  I met Yvette, my future wife, when I was just 16.  Alas, we were not ready to settle down so we broke up.  I had Megan, my beautiful daughter, married, and divorced my first wife.  I worked for El Paso Emergency Medical Services for 9 years.  During that time, I bumped into Yvette again at a  health fair that we were both presenting at.  We dated for a time, but I still was not still ready to settle down.  Finally, in Nov 1995, I came to my senses and started dating Yvette again.  I proposed to her in Jun 1996 and we married in Apr 1997.

In 1998, I started working as a systems analyst for the Texas Workforce Commission.  In 2000, my job transferred me to Austin.  By 2003, Yvette and I decided that we would remain in Central Texas, so we bought a home in Kyle.  Yvette is a medical assistant and loves working with patients.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management/Computer Information Systems in Jun 2005 from Park University.

Today, Yvette and I have three wonderful dogs; Buddy, Jesse and Potter.  We have been members of the Kyle Volunteer Fire Department since Oct 2003.  We love cruising on Carnival Cruise Lines and camping with friends.   In Jan 2007, some friends of ours convinced us to try The Connection Church.  We have been going ever since.

Yvette is an angel for putting up with me for this many years.
