Treadmill Finally
As my readers know, I have been struggling for several weeks to get back on the treadmill. What disappoints me is that I only need to walk or run for 30 minutes. Because the treadmill is front of the television, I can even catch up on whatever the DVR recorded.
On Tuesday, Yvette was gently pressuring me to get on the treadmill. I turned her down with a poor excurse. That evening, she started doing sit-ups again on the floor of our bedroom. That got me to thinking. I constantly encourage Yvette to stay healthy and work on her diabetes. Here she was trying to motivate me.
On Wednesday, Yvette and were scheduled to attend our Connection Group; however, I had treadmill on my mind. I knew that I needed to just get over my motivation hump and the rest should be easy. When we got home, I changed and threw on the 20 lb weight vest that Yvette and I picked up from Wal-Mart. Just 30 short minutes later I was done on the treadmill!
While I did not push myself, inside I still felt good that I had finally accomplished this rather small goal. The next step is get back on the treadmill just one more time and then repeat as often as needed.
